My De’Longhi Christmas Wishlist

Hi everyone!

Are you one of those types of people who love shopping for your home or looking at home decor/appliances? I am. I love dreaming up my ideal home and looking for things I'd love to have in it. I recently came across the brand De'Longhi which sells innovative kitchen appliances. Browsing their products on Concept Specialist’s website, I've been really impressed with a number of their products - some of which I'd like to share with you.

1. Dehumidifier DNC 65 - As an asthmatic, my lungs are sensitive to the type of air I breathe. Things like dust and mold, which grow in warm and humid environments, can easily constrict my breathing and trigger an attack. Having a dehumidifier in my home would greatly reduce the proliferation of these allergens and would lessen my asthmatic episodes. This one from De'Longhi features three levels of dehumidification power, noiseless operation, an antibacterial filter, a swing function, and an electronic shut off timer up to 8 hours - among other great features. This one's a must have for me!

2. Fully Auto Coffee Machine - Who loves coffee? I sure do! This coffee machine (model ECAM 44.660.B / Eletta Cappuccino) is so absolutely perfect for me that I wish I could just take it from the computer screen. It can be used with both ground coffee and coffee beans, can prepare various types of coffee drinks at the touch of a button (cappuccino, latte, macchiato), has an automatic cleaning function for milk carafe system and can already prepare two cups of coffee in one brewing cycle! These are just a few of this machine's amazing features and I'm already in love. This is a must have for those who like to personalize their coffee, with the ease of pushing a button (like me basically). This would definitely make mornings less stressful and drinking coffee just so much more fun!

3. Low-oil Fryer & Multicooker Multifry - I don't like cooking very much. I'm afraid of getting hit by frying oil. Judge me all you want but you can't deny that stuff hurts. I usually prefer to bake or do any sort of cooking that does not involve getting attacked by oil. That said, this Multifry is practically heaven sent! Not only does it make cooking easier, but I won't be splashed by oil! ;) The Multifry features a recipe selector knob with pre-set programs (potatoes, pizza, cake, stew) and 3 special programs (pan function, oven function, grill function). It has a (removable) mixing paddle, and its bowl is non-stick and has anti-scratch ceramic coating. The walls are cool to touch so you don't accidentally burn yourself and has a digital control panel. I find this really innovative and useful in the kitchen, especially for someone like me :)

What do you think? Aren't these products amazing? Have you tried anything from De'Longhi? Let me know about it in the comments!

Shop Globally with Uskoop

Hi Everyone!

In recent years, online shopping has steadily grown grown in popularity as it opens new windows for consumers to buy products. There are many options nowadays to buy products online (especially ones we can't get here!), however I think we can agree that we are still sometimes at a disadvantage. Some sites sell the products at such high rates that you're turned off from buying the product. Also, we can't shop from sites that do not deliver to our home country. Another issue would be computing for the taxes and other fees that come with buying a product internationally. It's such a headache, and I'd rather not have to deal with that.

But what if I told you of a website that lets you shop from US merchant stores, computes the fees from you AND delivers the product straight to you? This is the service offered by USKOOP PH.

Uskoop PH (website: https://www.uskoop.com.ph/) is a one-stop shopping-and-shipping service that also takes care of shipping, customs & taxes with insurance. When you order via Uskoop, the price they give is inclusive of ALL charges so you know the full price you pay. Uskoop then delivers your package to your doorstep anywhere in the Philippines via air in 10-15 business days. You can order from different US online stores with a single checkout! No need to pay US Sales Tax and no need to use a US shipping Address. You won't need to worry about credit card acceptance outside your home country since Uskoop offers multiple payment options. Uskoop PH takes care of everything. You just have to  choose your products and Uskoop will take care of everything from buying to shipping to your address to customer service and post-sale support. Amazing isn't it?

I tried out the site by visiting online shops like Amazon, Walmart, Nordstrom and even Tory Burch just to show you guys a glimpse of how it works. These are products I would definitely consider buying via Uskoop's services.

Change the way you see Love

Ahhh love, everyone's favorite topic - or not. Depends on where you're coming from.

I think the "idea of love" that most people have is based on media. Romantic movies, love stories and the like, which show love as a "feeling you just get" when you're around that "certain someone". However, what about other types of love? How would you explain those?

Love cannot always be "just a feeling". If it were a feeling, then it follows that love ends when you don't feel those feelings anymore. We've seen this happen with romantic relationships, but what about familial ones and friendship? Are your relationships with these people based on "feelings" only? Of course not. We stick with these people through thick and thin because we ACCEPT them for who they are and STILL CHOOSE to love them. Love then becomes a willing acceptance and a choice to continue loving.

Love is acceptance

I've come to realize this in my own relationships with my family, friends and boyfriend. Love is not ever simple or easy. But if you stick to it and realize that you have to continue to choose to accept that person, instead of relying on a "feeling", it's going to be worth it. Love is so much more than what we glean from movies and books, and is truly so much more beautiful.

Change the way you see love, and you'll be able to see the true beauty  of it.

On that note, have you heard that the Huawei P9 can change the way you see mobile photography? Huawei P9’s camera is co-engineered with Leica. It has dual lenses that produces high quality photos and allow users to take amazing monochrome, slo-mo, colored, light painting photos among others. It's worth checking out!

Change the way you see Beauty

Our world is obsessed with everything beautiful. From our stone age ancestors up until the modern day, society has its own ideals on what is 'beautiful'. These trends have changed with the times, but one thing remains: if you don't conform to the ideal, then you are not 'beautiful'.

We judge people on their physical aesthetic daily, whether we realize it or not. It is rooted in our instincts that beautiful = better. It means health and better genes to be passed on to offspring. This subconsciously influences how we see others, and also tends to influence how we treat other people.

Take this for example:

A scar. Scars are unwanted and considered "ugly", a blemish, or something that should be removed or hidden. But scars are proof of your body's amazing power to heal itself, why would anyone consider that ugly?

It's all a societal ideal, that a beautiful person has not a scratch on their perfect skin. But normal people are not perfect. The true beauty about humanity comes from each of us being unique and different, as well as from being ourselves.

So accept your scars (perhaps figurative ones and literal ones), and learn to love yourself and others regardless of whether or not they conform to the idea of "beauty". Change your perception of beauty, and learn to accept beauty in all its forms.

Speaking of the changing the way you see things, have you heard how the Huawei P9 can change the way you see mobile photography? Huawei P9’s camera is co-engineered with Leica and has dual lenses that produces high quality photos and allow users to take amazing monochrome, slo-mo, colored, light painting photos among others. Sounds like a great camera phone to me.

What about you? What are your thoughts on the idea of beauty?
